I realized after showing you my table makeover that I haven't shown you my completed dining room...
I have given you the low down on every project in this room, but now you can get the completed look :)
First we have the tea light wall art that I paired with a photo that was taken from our wedding {lemon drop martinis YUM}
On the same wall I have my gate turned herb garden and I am so excited to show you this most recent picture because my herbs are growing!!
Here is the completed look...
A far cry from this! The black table, green curtains and white walls are GONE!! Whoo Hoo!!

SO many creative ideas! I love the planter thing you did, such a smart idea. We are currently smack in the middle of renovating a house we just bought so I can imagine the thrill of actually having something done and completed. Good for you! :)
Very cute, Brooke. Love your creative touches.

Wow Brooke, your place is really cute. You have a lot of good ideas and I really love the gate and growing your herbs in the buckets. I will be starting my herbs hopefully real soon.
Brooke, what an adorable herb garden! Very creative. I discovered you on Artsy Girl Linky Party and I’m now a follower; I would appreciate you following me back.
I really like the garden gate with the buckets and herbs. Very very cool. I would think this would work outside too-- I might have to give it a try as my current herb garden gets neglected since it is so far from the kitchen! I need to find a gate though-- hmmmm
The herb garden looks so cool! I totally want to do something similar. Great room!
I'm also really impressed with the herb planter! The room looks lovely, very spacious and light.
So beautiful! I love the herb planter, what a neat idea :)
I love how open and spacious your room feels!
What a gorgeous home you have! This is a blog I will definitely be following - it's very inspiring. And wow, holy linky parties!
Painting the black table and chairs was the neatest idea! It gave the room a totally different look.
Good job. Now can you come do my house? Promise you it's a blank canvas! LOL
Love repurposing items like you did for your herb garden! We're doing a raised bed garden outdoors this year and using repurposed items to build it and save money. So nice to have a community full of inspiring bloggers to draw from!
I like your herb garden- very cute. The spoons holding the tea light were also inventive.
Hi Brooke - Some great ideas here - especially like the tea light wall art, which I gather you created yourself - fantastic!
(Visiting from Blogelina)
That is just great i love those ideas!!! I have seen a couple of them around and I have wanted to try them out, but if i did everything i see my house would look very odd lol!! You did a GREAT job at tying everything together!
I love it all! Thank-you so much for sharing at our Pin'inspiration party. You are def. going to be a feature next week!
I love it all - the orange legs on a white table, the silverware holding tea lights, and the herbs in metal buckets! It would be so nice to have all the herbs I wants for cooking right there and handy!
What a beautiful space! I wish I was more crafty! Let's swap...I'll make you supper, you help me decorate! LOL!
Oh, my goodness, you are so creative! I am totally inept when it comes to being crafty. Very beautiful project!

I love the planter! And I love the rustic elements added in.
I just discovered your blog and am in love! I just moved into a new house a few months ago and we are working on redoing some things. Your dining room is great inspiration for me and my kitchen/breakfast nook area! I love the tea light wall!
Great ideas..I really really like the herb garden! what a creative way to have fresh herbs at your fingertips :)
I love your wall art! And where on earth did you find that hutch? It looks like an antique - if it's not, it's a really good reproduction.
Love the herb planter. Great idea. The orange tables legs really make the table. I'm not very creative myself so i love looking at other's ideas.
I love the herbs idea! I'd love to do that but I don't think I have a good wall for it. I wonder if you could do that outside somehow? Like on the side of the house?
Wow! That looks amazing! I always wished I had that type of creativity. Or cleanliness!
Very cute and very Zen. Love the creativity, it's actually given me great ideas.
That herb garden rocks! I think I might steal that idea and use some of the new colorful tin buckets that are out for spring right now. Thanks for the inspiration!
Seriously, can you come over and spruce my nest?!?! Such creativity! LOVE the pots! Thanks for the ideas!
I absolutely love the table and the tea light wall art! You just inspired me! Thank you so much.
Very creative! I'm afraid I've gotten very lax in decorating over our numerous moves, but I think I might just be able to have my husband help me make that herb garden.

The room look really nice. This spring I will be re-doing our bedroom. It really needs help. What a nice idea posting all the projects and the completed pictures. Really nice job.
Ooh! I like it! I have trouble being creative and thinking of thrifty ways to redecorate. We're about to redo our living room and I've been searching pinterest for inspiration!

Love the new look.
I have a question about the herbs. Being that they are newer, you may not have had this problem yet, though. How do you control the moisture of the soil? I'm assuming there is no drainage. Has this been an issue?
Gorgeous ideas. I love your herb wall, which is so inventive. Thanks so much for sharing your talent!
I love the herb wall!!! I am going to have borrow that idea.
So I totally have fallen in love with the herb wall. My husband is going to love having it on his "to do" list for me! Your home is beautiful!
I just love that herb garden! That's a wonderful idea!

LOL, my husband liked the black table before. Very creative ideas! I really love the pails with the plants in them. That would work out great for me because my cats couldn't reach them! Thanks for sharing your dining room with us!
What a neat, creative thought to hang the plants on the wall from an old fence. It definitely gives it a country garden feel. Do they grow all right without direct sunlight?
So pretty! Your herbs are looking great too.
What great ideas! You are very talented.
I have no decorating skills! I really love the simplicity of your dining area! Very attractive!
Very nice Brooke! Would love if you linked up to my party! Come over as the party is happening now!

What a difference some paint can make! That room looks like it could qualify for Better Homes and Gardens and the herb garden is inspiring. Thanks for sharing with us.
Wow, your room (and the rest of the house that I could see) is GORGEOUS! I love your herbs on the wall, such a clever idea!
Nice! It has such a homey and unique feel to it :)
Love the pictures of your dining room. Ours is still a mess as there are more books on it which need to be cleared away and the kids keep on forgetting to do so after doing their homework.
The herb garden gate is such a creative idea! I love it!
I really like your herb garden gate. You must get a lot of sun coming in the window for those herbs to grow well indoors.
