It is getting a little ridiculous that I keep saying "sorry" for not doing any new projects lately! I am having serious withdrawals! I haven't even linked up to any parties in almost 3 weeks!!!
I promise I haven't given up on my blog, I have just been trying to get adjusted lately. Life has been so busy with my new full time job, catching up on paperwork for our electrical business and having family in town.
I will admit that it is so much harder for me to be creative when the weather is crummy...what is that about? I am so ready for nice, sunny weather and it is making me a little melancholy. That doesn't even include the fact that my house is getting taken over by ants! I came home from work yesterday to find my floors covered in ants! I raided everything and then had to mop last night and today I came home and my kitchen sinks were covered so I cried and threw a fit calmly raided and cleaned again. The worst part is that I don't have any food, juice or anything out! It is making me crazy!! Sorry for my little tangent, back on track...
I have been trying to catch up on my HubPages lately though because I have been seriously behind there too :(
If you have never heard of HubPages, you should definitely check it out! It is basically a free site to write anything of your choice (similar to a blog) but it focuses on tutorials and ...
The biggest difference with hubpages is that you have much higher search rating than you would with a blog. I tend to write my blog to share my projects and things I find interesting with all of you and I use my hubpages to link my in depth tutorials for those of you who want a step by step guide. I realize that you may not all want to see how I sanded my furniture or care about some of the other things I share in my hubs; you just want to see the end result. It is also a nice resource for those doing a google search on how to "paint a hutch," for example, and find the step by step instructions.
I have had my HubPage link on my side bar since the beginning of my blog and now you know what it is.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, it is a great site and quite addicting, just like blogs. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it is so worth it and you can actually make a little side money from your posts.
Here are some of my most recent posts...
Teaching Kids Organizational Skills
How to Save Money when you've Lost your Job
How to Clean a Coffee Maker without Vinegar
How to Reupholster a Dining Room Chair Cushion
I really hope to be more on top of things now with my blog and I promise to have some new projects to show soon.

Hi Brooke! Congrats on the new job and hopefully busy but enjoying the journey. I did not know about hubpages....duh...I thought it was where your husband posted or you posted about him! LOL! Sounds neat though because I love me some step-by-step instructions!
Can I ask where and/or what brand that material is that you reupholstered that chair with? I love that fabric and it is just what I've been looking for..style. colors and all. It looks like maybe it could be Moda fabric? But just a guess...a wild one at that. No rush....just maybe when you have some time sometime! LOL! Have a great weekend and don't put pressure on yourself...leave that to others....they'll do a fine job of it I'm sure! Ha! Ha! Take care!
Congrats on your job :) It's a battle to juggle a blog and life never mind throwing in a full time job! Hang in there.
